7 Healthy Habits To Keep Even After Covid-19
Though it seems we're over the initial shock of the Covid-19 pandemic and eager to return to "normal", some of the lifestyle changes brought about by Covid-19 are actually worth keeping. Here's my list of some healthy habits worth keeping:
Wash Your Hands A Lot - Washing hands is one of the most effective ways to ward off all types of nasty germs.
Go for a Walk - Walking at a brisk pace for 30 minutes every day has multiple physical and emotional benefits. All you need is walking shoes!
Think 6 feet - Keeping six feet between you and others while out in public is a good habit to maintain especially if you’re around people who are coughing or sneezing.
Have a Health Plan - It's always the right time to be as healthy as we can be by exercising regularly, losing weight if necessary, eating right, getting enough sleep, and maintaining a good frame of mind. Be strategic in your planning. Plan it. Don't wing it.
Take Your Underlying Condition Seriously - Being overweight or having high blood pressure or diabetes makes you more vulnerable to viruses as we've learned from Covid-19. Take your underlying conditions seriously.
Be a Home Chef - Many people re-discovered the kitchen during Covid, appreciating the joys of cooking! Cooking at home saves you money, lets you tailor your meals to your dietary preferences, and can be far healthier than many restaurant options.
Stay Connected with Friends and Family Far Away - While I definitely prefer in-person contact, keeping up with friends and family virtually is for sure a healthy and fun habit.
I'm sure there are lots more!
